It will depend on which hitch you have on your Marquis. If you have a Class III hitch, you will have no problem using this cargo carrier. If you have a Class II, you can use it, but you will likely need an adapter if your hitch has a 1-1/4 inch hitch opening. The cargo carrier has a 2-inch shank and you will need the hitch to adapt to the carrier. Using an adapter will reduce tongue weight of the hitch to half, so you will only have about 175 pounds of tongue weight and 62 pounds of that number is the weight of the carrier itself. This only leaves you about 113 pounds for your cargo, but no problem if your cargo is not heavy.

If you have a Class I, you will need an adapter and then you will only have 100 lbs of tongue weight. You will have 62 lbs of that number in the cargo carrier, leaving you 38 lbs for cargo. That is a very low number, but if what you will be carrying is that light, you could do it.

You might also consider a 1-1/4 inch cargo carrier, such as the 20x48 Cargo Carrier For 1-1/4" Trailer Hitch Receiver, part 52017, which will work with Class I and Class II hitches.
