What is the Max Weight of the Swagman XP 5 Bike Rack for my 2001 Honda Odyssey?

We are looking for a bike rack that will hold 5 bikes. What is the weight limit on this model? Also, do you have one that you recommend for a combo children & adult bikes?

The maximum weight capacity of the Swagman XP Folding 5 Bike Rack, part number S64970, is 40 pounds per bike and 200 pounds maximum with 5 bikes. This weight with the weight of the bike rack, 40 pounds, should fall well within the tongue weight rating of your 2 inch hitch but you will need to check your vehicles tongue weight rating to be sure you are within the vehicle limits.

The Swagman XP is one of the best styles of rack for alternative framed bikes such as kids bikes and womens bikes. The cradles rotate to catch the frame of the bike and keep the wheels level for clearance and stabilization. You still may need an adapter, part # 64005, that creates a straight bar between the bikes handle bars and seat post to attach some bikes with alternative frames. Our only other 5 bike racks have two arms and are not easy to use with childrens bikes.

You may want to consider a hitch lock, part number 40107, or an anti rattle hitch lock, part number 63232, with your bike rack to secure your bike rack in the hitch and to reduce noise when on rough terrain.
