Correct Use of Roadmaster 10 Inch High-Low Hitch Adapter

Question:

What does Not for use with any type of trailer - tow bars only mean? It sounds simple, so let me ask the dumb question, I cannot use it for towing anything like a trailer? Sound strange and I guess I dont understand the difference that it can tow up to 10,000 pd but still not able to tow a 3,500 lb hybrid ultra light camper? Also, if it cannot tow a trailer do you sell or does anyone make a 10 that will tow a 3,500 lb trailer? Thanx

Tow bars are used behind motorhomes or trucks to tow a vehicle. The Roadmaster 10 inch High - Low Hitch Adapter, part number RM-048-10, is not designed to have tongue weight applied to it like when towing a boat trailer, utility trailer or camper. This adapter is designed for applications where the towed vehicle is resting on its own four wheels and being pulled by another vehicle with a tow bar.

We do have ball mounts with a 10 inch drop or more and adjustable draw bars that will allow for a 10 inch drop. The 10" Drop Ball Mount, part number BM10, is a fixed ball mount that has a tongue weight of 500 pounds and Gross trailer weight of 5000 pounds. The Adjustable Ball Mount, part # CAB-UM has a 500 found tongue weight and 5000 pound gross trailer weight rating also and is adjustable for a 7 inch rise to a 9 inch drop for setting towing height with multiple trailers.
