Is SportRack bike rack A30901 Easy To Use With 2007 Ford Taurus

Question:

I have a 2007 ford Taurus, I plan to install a hitch onto my car. Would a hitch and this rack be feasible and okay for my car. Without damage to my car. I had a trunk bike rack before and unfortunately the rack scratched my car. I do not want to go through that again. Before I order the rack, could you please answer the following questions: Would a hitch be okay for my car? Is this rack easy to use and easy to drive on the back of a car.

This hitch-mounted bike rack will work great with your car. What is nice about this bike rack is that it secures the bikes in three places: both tires and the frame. The hooks ratchet down over the top bar and protects the bike and car finish. I recommend getting the SportRack Anti-rattle Trailer Hitch Lock (A30901LHP) which will reduce vibration and deter theft of your bike during rest stops.

You might want to check the year of your Taurus, just to be sure. In 2007, the Taurus was called the Ford 500. I have included a link to a Draw-Tite Class II hitch (part 36360) for a 2007 Ford 500 below, which will also fit a 2008 Ford Taurus.

If it is a 2006 Ford Taurus, you will need a different hitch. I have included a link below to the Draw-Tite Class II hitch (part 36313), which is a custom-fit for the 2000-2006 Ford Taurus.
