Yes, if you do not have a ball mount that has the necessary attachment point for the sway control ball then you will need the Sway Control Adapter Bracket - 2 inch, part # RP26003.

Keep in mind that the plate is 3/8 inch thick and may require a hitch ball with a longer 1 inch shank such as the Hitch Ball with 2 inch Diameter and Long Shank, 6,000 lbs GTW, part # 19262. Also the platform the ball sits on, or face of the ball mount, should measure 2-1/2 inches.
