Locks for Thule Hull-A-Port Pro Folding J-Style Rooftop Kayak Carrier

Question:

Do you have any recommendations for any locking mechanism for the above kayak holder. Is there anything available to lock the holder to the racks for the kayak to the holder? Both the Hull-A-Port and the kayak are expensive and would like to have it a bit more secure.

At this time Thule does not offer a locking mechanism for the Hull-A-Port Kayak Carrier. The best recommendation I could make is to purchase a cable lock such as the Yakima BoatLocker with PaddleCuffs, Y07237, and run it through the boat, kayak mounts, kayak, paddlecuffs and the roof rack and purchase locks to secure the roof rack to the vehicle.

If you have a Thule roof rack system you can purchase locks to secure it to the vehicle, and then use the cable lock to secure the other items mounted to it. Yakima also has locking roof racks and locks available.
