Torque Settings for Assembling Reese Round Bar Strait-Line Weight Distribution System, Part 66088

Question:

Hello,I bought 66088 and I will install it myself, the only thing I dont find on your website or videos is the torque I need for the bolts on the Hitch or Ball mount. do you have this ones avilable or do they come with the Hitch insructions? Thank you so much for this great clips on your website very helpful stuff.

These figures are included in the instructions and you will want to double check to verify the torque settings. The instructions I have indicate that the bolts that hold the head unit to the shank need to be tightened to 300 foot pounds. If your trailer ball uses a 1-1/4 inch nut, it would typically tighten to 450 foot pounds. If the ball uses a 1 inch nut, it would typically tighten to 250 foot pounds. You will want to verify for your hitch ball with the tag that comes attached to it. If you send me the part number on your ball I can also verify it for you.
