Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2004 Toyota Tundra with Factory Tow Package

Yes, the # 5100 and # 3040-P brake controller will work after the vehicle specific wiring adapter is wired to the brake controller wires and plugged in to the connector stored near the vehicles emergency brake pedal under the dash, if your Tundra has a factory installed hitch and 7-way connector.

If your Tundra does not have the factory installed options the brake controller will have to be hard wired to the vehicle and you will have to run wires and install a 4-way connector, # 119176KIT and our # ETBC7 brake controller wiring kit.
