How to line up 1-1/4 inch to 2 inch adapter - SportRack Hitch-Mounted rack

Question:

Is there some way to secure the adapter for the 2 hitch piece- it moves when you put it in the hitch making it hard to line up the holes- can you screw it into the bike rack?

Expert Reply:

I would recommend using double-sided tape to keep the adapter piece hole lined up with the bike rack shank hole. I would not recommend drilling another hole in the shank, as it might damage the integrity of bike rack.
