my controller says SC what does this mean

On the Valley Journey HD 2-8 Electric Brake Controller V52740 the code SC indicates there is a short circuit situation. The trailer brake circuit may be shorted to the ground wire. You'll need to check for improper wiring. The unit will reset once the situation is corrected.
