I would recommend a proportional controller such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part number # 90885. The P2 is a great product, and is very easy to use and set up. The controller would plug into the port under the dashboard using a wiring adapter, part number 3035-P. To convert your 4-way connector to a 7-way you will need an adapter, part number 37185. The adapter would plug into your existing 4 way. The lead for the brake output, and the 12V trailer auxiliary lead on the adapter would tap into the existing wiring located on the drivers side frame rail.
