Question:
We have two vehicles and I would like the bike rack to fit both: VW New Beetle 2001 and Honda CR-V 2007. Which lock would you recommend for securing the rack to these vehicles? Thanks.

The Highland Sportwing bike rack, # 5801200, can fit in a 1-1/4 inch (Class I and II) and 2 inch trailer hitches and has a 15-1/2 inch extension from the hitch pin hole to the nearest arm of the carrier. Based on this information, the rack will fit both your 2001 Volkswagen New Beetle and 2007 Honda CR-V.
For a lock I actually recommend using a cable lock, # CAB-10, that will allow you to secure the bikes and the rack to the trailer hitch by looping through the safety chain loops on the hitch. I have included instruction and video links for this bike rack.
