Question:
Are there any online videos or installation instructions for the MX 4431-3 Base Plates? I have a new Ford F-150 EcoBoost and I am looking for the best choice to tow it behind my class A motorhome. I am thinking of pairing it with the All Terrain Sterling 6K tow bar? Also are there any other things that I need? This will be my only tow vehicle and I would also appreciate your recommendation for brake system?

We have yet to have the opportunity to install the Roadmaster base plates, # 4431-3, on a 2012 Ford F-150, but we do have the instructions which I have linked for you.
For a tow bar I recommend going with the higher capacity Blackhawk, # RM-422, rated for 10,000 pounds. Depending on how your truck is equipped, you could be close or over the 6,000 pound capacity of the other tow bar. I have included a link to the Blackhawk instructions for you.
For safety cables you can go with straight cables, # RM-649, which will fit through the safety cable guides on the tow bar. For a lighting solution I recommend going with the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155. This get does not require cutting into the vehicle wiring but it does require drilling holes in the rear of the tail light housing for the bulbs.
Most states now require a supplemental braking system on the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Even Brake # RM-9400. This is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the towing vehicle is braking. Proportional systems are the safest way to stop and they reduce wear and tear on both vehicles.
I have included a link to our series of FAQ articles on flat towing for you. You will want to consult the vehicle owners manual to determine if you can flat tow this vehicle and on the proper procedure for flat towing.
