Trunk Mounted Bike Rack for 2008 Honda CR-V and Infiniti M35

Question:

I am buying this for my Infiniti M35... I also have a 2008 Honda CRV and wondering if it will work on that. I see it works on the element and Lexus RX300, thinking its about the same thing. Please advise.

Because the mounting hooks would need to be in direct contact with the glass at the top of the liftgate, Thule does not consider the Raceway # TH9001 or any other of their trunk mounted racks as being a fit for your Honda CR-V. The weight of the rack plus the bikes carried on it can cause the rear glass to shatter, which would be a bad thing.

Yakima, however states that a few of their trunk mounts like the KingJoe Pro, part # Y02624 or the SuperJoe Pro, part # Y02629 will fit the Honda CRV if the special glass hatch hooks included with the rack are used. The rack is also a fit for your Infiniti M35. Although I really like the Thule Raceway and recommend it every chance I get, in this instance the Yakima KingJoe Pro or SuperJoe Pro would be a better choice for you, because it will work with both of your vehicles.

To carry womens bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # Y02531 is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.
