Trailer Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2012 Toyota Prius

Question:

I cant find the wiring harness connector on my 2012 Prius 2. When I look at the taillight assembly all I see are the two connections which must go into bulbs. All the wiring looks to be outside of the cargo area and in with the tail assembly. Otherwise, it looks fairly straightforward. Just cant find the connectors.

I spoke with my contact at Curt and she informed me that for your 2012 Toyota Prius II you will need a Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring # 56146. This is a hard wire install that requires that you test the wires of your tail light circuits that you have found.

Check out the installation instructions and install video I attached for you.

The Curt Harness # C56147 that you referenced is only for the older model Prii before 2012.
