For a hanging style 2 bike rack from Thule I would recommend you get a Thule Vertex 2 Bike Carrier # TH9028. This rack has arcing arms that allow for fast and easy bike loading, anti-sway frame cradles, a tilting feature to allow for trunk access and a built-in anti-rattle device.
Check out the instructions and the review video that shows this product being demoed on a 2010 CX-9 like yours that I attached.
If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without a horizontal top tube you might also be interested in purchasing a Thule Bike Adapter Bar # TH982XT to provide a horizontal top tube for the rack to attach to easier.
