Tow Bar and Base Plate Recommendations for a 2006 Jeep Wrangler

Question:

Will ANY Blue Ox tow bars work with the BX3509 base plate. The base plate is for a Suzuki Sidekick 1998 4 door Sport. This being a lighter car, what tow bar would be recommend, cables, etc. that would be necessary to do a complete hook up? Thank you.

Yes, you could use a Blue Ox Adventurer Tow Bar # BX7322 with the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX3509. I know in a previous question you stated you were looking for an economical flat towing solution and the # BX7322 is the most economical solution we offer that will work with the # BX3509.

For safety cables I would recommend Blue Ox 7 foot Safety Cables # BX88196.

Many states now require supplemental braking when flat towing. I attached an FAQ article on supplemental braking for you to check you also.

You will also want to check with your owners manual to determine if there are any restrictions on your vehicle being flat towed.
