There is a law called the Magnussen-Moss warranty act that states, in part, that if you install an aftermarket part on your car then it will not void the warranty unless that part caused the problem. So installing the trailer wiring harness, # 118521, will not void the warranty. I have included a link to the installation details and a link to a video showing a typical installation.
