Question:
What is your recommendation for a Transmission cooler for a 2011 Ford Expedition? This will not be for heavy towing. At most maybe a 6-7000 RV. I do not have the heavy duty towing package on the vehicle.

When choosing a transmission cooler, we recommend choosing the biggest cooler that will fit into the available space. The ideal spot to install a cooler would be directly behind the grille, in front of the A/C condenser and radiator. Since the cooler is a flow-through device, it will not obstruct airflow to the condenser or radiator.
The Derale 8000 series cooler you mentioned, part # D13504 would be an excellent choice for your Expedition. The cooler measures 11 x 12 x 7/8, so I would recommend checking to ensure you have the available room behind the grille.
I will link you to some FAQ articles about transmission coolers.
