Question:
Are there any videos or online instructions to properly use the fishing wire? Also is a torque wrench required for the installation of #24872 on a 2012 ford focus?

We do have a video that will help you with the fish wire technique for installation of trailer hitch # 24872 on a 2012 Ford Focus. I have included a link to the video and a link to the hitch instructions for you.
A torque wrench is required for any trailer hitch installation. The hitches have been tested and rated with a certain torque spec on the fasteners. Too tight and you can damage the attachment points on the vehicle and the hitch itself. Too loose and it will not be properly secured.
Many auto parts stores will loan out tools so you could get the correct torque wrench that way instead of buying one outright.
