Question:
I have a 2005 Toyota Camry that rides quite low.. Can you recommend a ball mount with a 4 or 5 inch rise that would be appropriate for my vehicle. Thank you.

Expert Reply:
Because all of the trailer hitches for the 2005 Toyota Camry are Class II hitches, see link, you must use the ball mount specified by the trailer hitch manufacturer. Using a different ball mount voids the warranty because only the recommended ball mount has been tested and approved for each respective trailer hitch.
For a Draw-Tite or Hidden Hitch trailer hitch, use # 36061. It has a 3-1/8 inch rise measures from the top of the receiver opening on the hitch.
For the Curt hitch, the correct ball mount is # C45520. It also has a 3-1/8 inch rise.
