The product detail says the following: Continual diagnostics check for proper connection, shorted magnet condition and much more. What more does it detect and how does it alert the driver?

The Tekonsha Prodigy, part number 90185, will check and alert for connection problems including loss of battery ground, loss of trailer brake magnet ground, shorts in the brake ouptut circuit, a corroded or damaged trailer connector, or improper mounting. The Prodigy notifies the driver by a series of error codes that will display on the LED display if a problem is present. For your convenience, I will include a copy of the instruction manual that is included with the Prodigy. A complete list of error codes and their meanings can be found in the Troubleshooting Chart.
