SportRack Spare Tire Mount A30813STL on a 2000 Jeep Wrangler

Question:

We have a 2000 jeep wrangler and are looking for a 3 bike rack that will mount on the spare tire. The tire is about 10 inches deep and we are worried about the rod being long enough to fit. Do you know if it will fit on a jeep wranger?

The measurement you need to make is from the back of the lug nut holes to the farthest out part of the tire. If your measurement is less than 4-1/2 inches, then the SportRack 3 Bike Carrier Spare Tire Mount Bike Rack with Rotating Cradles should fit your Jeep Wrangler. If the measurement is longer, then this rack will not work and you may want to look into a hitch mounted carrier and hitch, which we also have for your 2000 Wrangler. You can use our Hitch Hunter application to select a hitch for your vehicle and then select an appropriately sized bike rack for that hitch.
