Everything is centered around increasing the factory speed limiter. I am givng the vehicle to my child. I would like to set the factory speed limiter to 70 mph. Can superchips lower the speed limiter?

As the father of a teenager, I can certainly understand why you would want to lower the speed rating of your truck.
However, according to my contact at Superchips, none of their tuners will allow you to lower the factory speed limiter. Over the last few years, they have received numerous requests about this from parents and fleet owners.
According to my contact, there are liability reasons why Superchips tuners are not capable of lowering the speed rating of a vehicle. He inferred that if the requests were numerous enough, they might revisit the issue in the future.
