Do the Wires of Wesbar Submersible Trailer Light Need to Be Stripped Back to Install

Question:

I am not sure how to connect the new submersible trailer light. There is a plastic/rubber piece covering the connection of wires between the trailer and submersible light. How do you remove this? Should the new connection be covered with this rubber piece too? Thanks for your help!!

Expert Reply:

If you are referring to the little piece of wire insulation that is on the very end of the wire you will just need to grab that piece and slide it off. Check out the picture I attached to make sure we are talking about the same thing.

You will want to have the insulation of the wires stripped back so that the connections you make are metal to metal. Otherwise the light will not function.

I attached a review video for this product for you to check out also.
