I have a 2000 silverado 2500 series shortbox extended cab 2 wheel drive with the 5.3. It is not the HD model. What front hitch fits and do I need to trim anything at all?

For a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 light duty, you can use Draw-Tite front hitch # 65028. You should not have to do any trimming on the truck for installation. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view.
