Question:
I the 2012 Rams have a lower tail gate and i test fitted the Swagman XC 2 and it touched the tail gate when it was lowered. I realy need a bike rack that will fold up so will the G2 fit the new RAM 1500 2012 without touching the tail gate?

On the Swagman G2, # S64680, the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole back to the first wheel mount is 20 inches. The upright arm is even further out than that (about another 8 inches). You will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on the truck out to the distance required to clear the tail gate when it is lowered. If it is less than 20 inches the G2 will work.
