Question:
I am concerned about finding the roof supports to be certain that the product is installed safely. Is there a method for this? Do the instructions help with this? I worry about tightening a strap and ripping the screws out.

The instructions, which I have linked for you, do help somewhat. Around the outside top edge of the camper is going to be the strongest point to mount the brackets because that is where it has a frame. If on the very top of the camper, you will put the brackets a 1/2 inch in from the edge. Or it mounted on the sides of the camper, a 1/2 inch from the top. There are diagrams that will help in the instructions. I have also included a link to a video review for you.
