Weight Distribution Recommendation for a Trailer with Surge Brakes Towed by a 2004 Trailblazer

Dear Sirs, We need to tow a 4,500 lb Boat with EZ Loader aluminum trailer 1000 lbs. Total gross wt to tow is 5,500 lbs plus. I like what I read about Pro Series 49903 until the note that said not to be used with Surge Brakes. I need those brakes to trailer the boat from Florida to Michigan 2 weeks from now, will be some mountains. What are my Wt Distr hitch options for my 2004 Trailblazer that will work with surge brakes? We do have weight distribution systems that will work with the surge brakes on your EZ Loader boat trailer. I have attached a link to all of the weight distribution systems we carry that are compatible with surge brakes.

The most important thing to consider when choosing a weight distribution system is the tongue weight of your trailer when it is fully loaded and ready to tow. Anything loaded behind the rear axle in your 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer will contribute to the tongue weight as well.

When you choose a weight distribution system, you will want to choose a system with a tongue weight range that encompasses the tongue weight of your trailer plus the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of your vehicle. Choosing a system that is too light or too heavy for your set up will not properly distribute the weight or reduce sway.
