Taking a Hitch from a 1991 Jeep Cherokee and Putting it on a 1997 Jeep Cherokee

Question:

I am switching my hitch from a 91 jeep cherokee to a 97 jeep cherokee and I am wondering where to get new platesblocksthat go inside frame rails. I figure the bolts I can buy from local parts store. Thanks

You should be able to purchase a replacement hardware kit for your hitch.

I would not recommend going to your local hardware store to purchase the hardware, the mounting brackets and bolts that come with the kits are rated a certain grade for the hitch. For safety reasons, you need to be sure you are getting the proper grade hardware for your application.

I have attached a link to a page for replacement hardware. All you will need to do is input the manufacturer and the hitch part number, please refer to your hitch for the part number.
