Will the TruRyde Electric Brake Assembly # TRBK10E01 Work With 3500 lb AL-KO Axle

Question:

Does the Truryde 10 by 2 1/4 brake Assembly fit Al-Ko 3500 lb axle? The existing brakes are 10 by 2 1/4.

You may be able to use the TruRyde Electric Brake Assembly, # TRBK10E02, with your AL-KO 3,500 lb axle, but first I would recommend checking the bolt pattern on the mounting flange on your spindle and ensure that this brake assembly is compatible with your wheel size.

The TruRyde brake assembly requires a 4 bolt mounting flange that has bolt holes 2-7/8 inches on center apart and it is compatible with 13, 14 and 15 inch wheels. I have attached a photo showing the bolt hole dimensions of a compatible brake mounting flange.

I would also recommend checking your drum, just to make sure the the armature surface and shoe surface are not damaged or worn. I have also attached a photo showing where to check on your drum.

A few other parts you may need are nuts for brake mounting bolts, # 6-17, a lockwasher, # 5-8, and some butt connectors to connect the wires, # 05732-2.
