The Rightline vehicle tent # RL110910, will fit the 2004 Chevy Tahoe with rear doors that open to the sides rather than a hatch that opens up. Rightline actually states that:

The vehicles doors will extend into the middle of the main tent room. You will have to watch your head when getting up in the middle of the night. The SUV tents vehicle sleeve will strap to the roof rack of the vehicle. If no roof rack, use the longer straps provided to clip the vehicles alligator clamping sleeve to the vehicles wind shield wipers.

This alligator clamping sleeve features separate lower and upper halves that come together in a clamping action. The sleeve is not a circle with a set circumference. This design allows the tents vehicle sleeve to conform to the rear of any vehicle that opens in the rear.
