Welding Reese Sway Control Ball Plate # RP58062 to Trailer Frame

Question:

Would like to know if the sway control ball plate Pro Series Friction Sway Control Kit be welded to the trailer instead of using the six self tapping screws? Thanks for your time in this matter!!

asked by: Nicholas S

Expert Reply:

It is certainly possible to weld the sway control ball plate into place on your trailer frame. Just be sure to remove the paint from the surfaces to be welded, and be careful not to get the plate too hot.
