Will the Rhino Rack T-Load Hitch Mounted Load Bar # RTL002 Accommodate 2 Kayaks on a 2009 Ford F150

Question:

Hi my vehicle is a 2009 ford f-150 crewcab with a 6 ft box I have 2 kayaks wildernesssystems pungo 120 and the ride 135 sit on top kayak. can part # RTL002 carry 2 kayaks? thanks

Expert Reply:

The crossbar included with the Rhino-Rack T-Load # RTL002 is 49 inches long, and the usable carrying area between the included load stops is about 44 inches. You will have about 47 inches if you remove the load stops. As long as the combined width of your two kayaks does not exceed that width and their combined weight does not exceed the 165 lb capacity of the T-Load, you should be okay.

You will also need a crossbar on the roof of the vehicle to support the other end of the kayaks. Rhino Rack offers a single crossbar and tower, part # DA126HALF and a half clamp kit, part # DK150H.
