Will Reese Elite Series Rail Adapter for Fixed 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches Fit a Pullrite Superglide

Question:

I have a new 2012 Ford F350 Superduty with the 5th wheel prep package. Will this adapter allow me to use my existing pullrite superglide hitch? I had a short bed before, but now I have a new long bed. I dont think I can lock it into towing mode, as its an automatic system.

You will need to measure the mounting tabs on the 5th wheel hitch to determine if it will fit in the Reese adapter, # RP30156. This adapter has 2 sets of mounting slots. The outer most set is 29 inches apart on center. The inner most set are 20-1/2 inches apart on center. Front to back, the slots are 22 inches apart on center.

This adapter can be used with a sliding hitch, but like you said an automatic system is going to slide if it cannot be locked out. A sliding hitch can still be used on a long bed truck, it is just not required. I have included a link to the installation instructions for the adapter for you.
