Install 3593 draw bar in the up or down position on a 2005 Honda Element

Question:

Does is matter which way you install the draw bar? Should the goose neck be up or down? Thank You

Expert Reply:

The orientation your Class I Drawbar, part 3593 will depend on the height of the trailer coupler. With the trailer level, measure from the coupler down to the ground. This is the approximate height you'll need the trailer ball to be. You'll want to install the drawbar so that the trailer ball is as close to this height as possible. Due to the fairly low bumper height of the Element, you'll probably need to install it in the 'up' position.
