Question:
Im trying to determine which adapter will make my 2000 Ford Expedition into a 7 pole tow harness. The model # 118243 has the same connector but I cant find anywhere that it will work with an expedition.

The Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness, # 118243, is only designed to work as a replacement for Ford vehicles that came with the OEM wiring originally installed at the manufacturing plant, and is not designed to work with your Expedition.
To make sure you have all the parts to install a working 7-Way wiring harness on your Expedition you will need a couple of items.
First, if your 2000 Expedition does not have a working 4-Way flat trailer wiring harness, you will need to install the 4-Way harness, # 118344.
Once you have a working 4-Way wiring harness, you will need the Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit, # ETBC7, to complete the installation. I added a link to a video that shows this type of installation on a 2008 Explorer that should be helpful and to detailed instructions for the installation kit for you to review.
