is this box waterproof?

For an item to be classified as waterproof it would have to be able to be submerged under water for a certain period of time and the inside would have to remain dry. Because water could get in if this box were submerged, it can only be classified as weather or water resistant. Under normal rainy conditions, it should keep items inside dry. Under heavy driving rains, items inside could get wet. Anything inside that you do not want ot get wet would need to be placed in plastic.
