Chevy Express van long frame base RV class C 24 foot Is the F2173 will handle 8600 pounds rear axle load, we are looking for a smooter ride, not to add load to the frame. It this will work. Best regards

According to Firestone, the Ride Rite Air Helper Spring Kit you mention, part # F2173 would indeed be the correct kit for your Class C motorhome. This assumes your motorhome has the dual rear wheels on each side.

The capacity of the # F2173 would be a maximum of 5000 lbs, not the 8600 lbs you mentioned.

The Ride Rite kit would work well to smooth and level the ride of your motorhome, but as you stated, it will not increase the capacity.

Although they are not necessary, additional convenience features are available like the Firestone Level Command, part # F2097. The Level Command would use an on-board compressor that would allow you to adjust the air pressure in the springs without having to exit the vehicle.
