Do this also work for suspension systems that are coil springs and not leaf springs?

I spoke with my contact at Super Springs and the SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs, # SSR-204, will fit on your 2003 GMC Yukon XL with coil springs as long as it is a 1500 model.
These springs are designed to replace your factory bump stops. Once you remove your factory bump stops these springs will slide into the bump stop mounting location. The installation instructions are included in the box.
I have attached a photo showing how the SumoSprings will look once installed.
