Will Yakima LowRiders Roof Rack Feet Fit a 2000 Jeep Cherokee

I have a set of Yakima low riders and want to know if they will fit the factory rails on a 2000 jeep Cherokee.

From what I could find, the 2000 Jeep Cherokee was available with 1 of 3 roof options. First, it could have a plain roof with no rack. Second, it could have a roof rack that includes crossbars that run side to side. And third, it could have tracks that run front to back.

If your Cherokee has the tracks that run front to back, the Yakima LowRiders will not fit. If you have the factory roof rack, you will need the following parts to install additional Yakima crossbars:

One set of crossbars, # Y00409
Two sets of Q4 Q-Clips, # Y00604
One set of Q Towers, # Y00124

If your Cherokee has tracks that run front to back, then you would need to use the following parts to add crossbars:

One set of crossbars, # Y00408
Two sets of Landing Pads, # Y00222
One set of Control Towers, # Y00214

If your Jeep does have raised side rails that run front to back, there is a good chance the Yakima LowRiders will fit but Yakima does not list them as an option because they do not have any listings for a Cherokee with side rails.
