The Tow Ready 2-5/16-Inch Interchangeable Hitch Ball Head, part # 63807, will not fit the 3/4-inch shank that is used in Tow Ready Interchangeable Hitch Ball Set, part # 63801. It will only work on the 1-inch shank, like Tow Ready Interchangeable 1-inch Hitch Ball Shank, part # 63809.

The 1-inch shank is designed for a maximum weight capacity of 8,000 lbs, which is needed when using a 2-5/16-inch hitch ball. The 1-inch shank has a maximum weight capacity of 5,000 lbs.

The 1-7/8-inch hitch ball, part # 63805 and the 2-inch hitch ball, part # 63806, will fit both size shanks.

It is designed that way to keep somebody from overloading the smaller diameter shank with the larger
2-5/16 hitch ball.

The balls and the shanks can be purchased separately. I am including a link to a page that will list the parts separately.
