Recommendation For Trunk Bike Rack To Fit 2012 Ford Focus Titanium Sedan With Factory Spoiler

Question:

I have a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium four door sedan with the rear spoiler on the trunk lid. Please tell me which bike carrier would be the best fit to avoid damaging the rear spoiler. I have already tried the Saris bones, and the Thule Passage, and I have had to return them because they come into contact with the spoiler. Thanks.

Most trunk bike rack manufacturers do not test fit their bike racks on vehicles with spoilers so it is hard to verify if the bike rack will fit for sure.

The bike rack that we have recommended the most for vehicles with factory spoilers is the Thule Raceway 3 Bike Rack, part # TH9002. This is one of the newer Thule bike racks that is designed with arcing, adjustable arms that are designed to fit over your spoiler.

This is one of the easiest bike racks to put on and take off of a vehicle. It uses 4 ratcheting cables rather than the 6 flat straps like other bike racks. This rack is also very light weight at under 12 pounds.
