If your 2012 Subaru Outback Wagon has the factory side rails that run front to back you will need to use the Thule AeroBlade Load Bars, part # THARB47, and the Thule Rapid Aero Foot Pack, part # TH450R. This will give you the needed crossbars on your vehicle so you can use the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier, part # S512.

If your Outback Wagon has no existing side rails or crossbars on the roof you will need to use the Thule AeroBlade Load Bars, part # THARB47, with the Thule Podium Foot Pack, part # TH460R, and the Thule Fit Kit, part # THKIT3068. This setup will give you the crossbars on your vehicle so you can use the Rhino Rack kayak carrier # S512.
