Will the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack Fit on a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle Hardtop

The Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack, # S63360, will work well with your 2012 Volkswagen Beetle hardtop. We have not had a chance to mount this bike rack on a 2012 Volkswagen Beetle, but this bike rack offers 11 inches of clearance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar.

You most likely have a 1-1/4 inch receiver on your vehicle and this bike rack will fit both 1-1/4 inch and 2 inch trailer hitch receivers. I have attached the installation instructions of this bike rack for you to review.

If you plan on carrying any womens or childrens bikes, then I would recommend using the Swagman Easy-Out Bike Adapter, # 64005. Some small and angled bike frames are difficult to mount on bike racks and sometimes mount in awkward positions. A bike adapter bar will allow you to mount and carry the bikes level. You may also be interested in a cable lock, # CAB-10, to keep your bikes secure to your bike rack and a locking anti-rattle hitch pin, # S64029, to deter theft when you are not around.
