Thule Speedway Bike Rack Carrying Capacity

Question:

I may purchase a Landrider step through ladies it is 33 Lbs. Will the Thule Speedway 2 bike work? I also will be carring a childs bike - dont know weight but my daughter said it is heavy.Thanks, Darlene

The bike rack you have selected has a maximum carrying capacity of 30 pounds per bike and, for your application, would not be recommended. The Yakima QuickBack 2, part number Y02621, has a 70 pound carrying capacity (35 pounds for each bike) which may work better for you. However, the instructions for this product state that spoilers, antennae, etc. may prevent attachment of the carrier. Also, children and ladies bikes may need an adapter, such as Y02531 or S64004, to accommodate the frames. If you need further assistance please let me know.
