The base of this rack measures 3-1/8 inches long. If you only have 2 inches clearance then this rack will not mount on to your ball mount with sufficient clearance to insert the hitch pin. You could purchase an extended ball mount (see links below) or you could buy a hitch mounted bike rack and use our multi purpose ball mount to carry your bikes and allow towing of a trailer at the same time. Remember, do not exceed the tongue weight of your hitch or your towing vehicle (whichever is less) when using either of these bike rack options.
