Hitch Adapter for Raising Up a Bike Rack on a 2007 Nissan Quest

Question:

I have a 2007 Nissan Quest mini-van with a UHaul 2 receiver hitch. I use a Thule bike rack but have major ground clearance problems. Could your part # RM-076 be used upside down to raise my rack?

Expert Reply:

The High-Low adapter should not be used for that purpose. The adapter has a tongue weight capacity of only 100 lbs, and is desinged for towing a vehicle that is resting on the ground behind another vehicle. The Valley Trailer Hitch Ball mount with 2" Receiver for Bike Racks, part number V75090 might be an option to look into. I'll include a link to this product below.
