Deadbolt Spare Tire Lock

Question:

How does this lock work? We are trying to keep a spare tire mounted on the rear of a vehicle from being stolen.

Expert Reply:

This lock does lock the spare to the spare tire carrier of the vehicle. It keeps it from being removed by using the lock through one of the wheel stud holes and through the spare tire carrier. If you want to attach the wheel to the trailer then you could use a cable lock (see link below). If I can be of further assistance let me know.
