The first thing you are going to want to do is consult the vehicle owners manual to determine if your 2007 Chevy Tahoe can be flat towed and if there are any specific requirements, restrictions, or recommendations.

If your Tahoe is a 1500, you will need to use Blue Ox base plates, # BX1676. These base plates are compatible with the Aventa LX tow bar and safety cables, # BX7445. If you have a different model other than a 1500, use Roadmaster base plates, # 3154-1. In order to sue the tow bar with these base plates you would need to use an adapter, # RM-033, and quick disconnects # RM-201.

For trailer wiring, for a more permanent solution if you will be towing the vehicle frequently, I recommend the diode kit # RM-154. I have included a link to a video that shows how this kit works. If you will only occasionally tow the vehicle, then a magnetic light kit, like # C-ATL20A, would be the way to go.

Most states now require a supplemental braking system in the vehicle being flat towed. The easiest system to set up and use is the Blue Ox Patriot, # BRK2012. This is a proportional system that applies the vehicle brakes in proportion to how much the tow vehicle is braking making for safe stops and reduced wear and tear on both vehicles.
